Excellent Story! All American's need to read this and other stories that document the contributions of African American to this great nation.
Really like this series. My grandson enjoyed the historical fiction written for his grade level.
Great easy read for young people interested in history -- book included in our community's give-away of books at our library conducted in conjunction with the Detroit Lakes, MN rededication of the Grand Army of the Republic Park, 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War and the death of President Lincoln.
As much as I enjoyed it, I was only let down by the brevity of the story.
