Great deal on this textbook
This is the book I used when I attended graduate school of journalism 20 years ago. It was one of very few books available at the time to survey the state of global journalism. The book includes a wide range of news media landscape around the world. Each chapter was authored by a scholar who is knowledgeable in the region or country. As a journalism major, I learned a lot from this book. Unfortunately, this book (published in 2009) is perhaps the last edition since Dr. John Merrill who pioneered this book project passed away several years ago. The editor Arnold De Beer may still be interested in publishing a newer edition, but I haven't heard anything about a possible update of this book.
